Yesterday was Kaia’s first birthday party. We had it 2 weeks early since we will be out of town on her actual birthday. It was a surfin’ pool party and we had a great time. We think that Kaia even knew that it was her big day because she had no problem keeping her headband, tutu, and smile on. Here is a glimpse.
People had lots of fun taking pictures with the cutout.

Getting some love from Grandma Streadbeck.
All the kids got these cute little buckets filled with candies, a tube of sunblock and sunglasses/beach toys.
The awesome cupcakes that Grandma Streadbeck made. She spent hours making these and we are grateful for all the time and hard work she put into making Kaia's birthday party a success.
Kaia still hasn't figured out the blowing out the candle part so mom and dad had to help out a little. We served cupcakes and cookies for all of the guests, while Kaia had her very own personal cake. She couldn't get enough of her cake and I think she seriously ate cake for thirty minutes. She grabbed fistfuls with both hands and took water breaks when needed.

Kaia's very first pinata. We had two pinatas thanks to Kaia's Auntie Sheryll. We had one for the kids under 4 and another for the kids over 4.
